Quote Magazine

Art director of Quote Magazine – the feisty one among business magazines.
Unique and distinctive in both design and appearance. Quote was awarded the Mercur for Magazine of the Year in 1999; in 2000, the visual concept received additional recognition with a nomination in the Art Direction category.
The design was given free rein to surprise – creative freedom was the norm. As editor-in-chief Jort Kelder aptly put it, the mission was to photographically capture ‘boring, bald businessmen’ in an unexpected way – and to elevate typography to image.
As art director, I was also responsible for the first editions of the now famous and infamous Quote 500 – the most successful spin-off in the magazine's history.
